OK, so this isn’t strictly speaking a cleaning tip.  The best way to keep Spiders from making their home inside yours is to place Conkers (Horse Chestnut) at the corner of each room.  It really works! Alternatively you can buy “Conker Spray” from people such as Kleeneze which also works, but is more expensive.
