To clean “well-used” pans, rub Tomato Ketchup into the stains with a damp cloth, leave to work for half an hour, and then rinse with warm water.  Makes you think twice about eating the stuff!  Oh well, burgers just don’t taste the same without it!

Removing burnt on food from Pyrex

To remove burnt on food from Pyrex dishes, soak them in Denture cleaner and hot water.  Alternatively, use an Effervescent Vitamin C tablet, which works equally as well.

Red Wine – The most common stain in our house!  Don’t bother with the pouring White Wine thing.  It doesn’t always work, and it means opening another bottle!  Simply pour salt over the stain and leave.  Put loads on – way more than you think.  After about an hour, brush away with a dustpan and brush.

To remove marks from wooden furniture cut a walnut in two and rub its raw edge along the grain of the wood.
