chewing gums

I admit.  I saw this tip and it brought back memories of childhood!  I was banned from buying Chewing Gum by my parents, but of course, that’s like a red rag to a bull!  Here goes …

To remove chewing gum from hair, simply pour a few drops of baby oil onto the gum and work it into the gum with fingers. Then gently comb out.

Let me know if it works!

For many years it was good marketing practice to use an 0800 number for inbound calls.  Over the years this has certainly been of massive benefit to us in our various businesses.

However, with the increased use of mobile phones as primary communications, it’s not always the best option.

With that in mind, we’ve now updated our website (and will shortly do the same with offline marketing) to include a local number – 01274 911544

Hope that helps!

Google Calendar

We’ve just added the facility to book an initial meeting with us to our website.

After spending what seems like weeks trying to find a way to integrate Google Calendar into a WordPress site, with our specific requirements, we found a web app called youcanbook.me which ticked every box!

It took about 2 hours to modify to our exact needs, and is now live.

Anyone wishing to have a home or office visit can now visit the Booking Form page on our website, and see what our availability is, request a time slot, and receive confirmation.

How easy is that! Hope you like it.

Prevent your child’s lunchbox from smelling by leaving white bread that’s been soaked in white vinegar inside it overnight.  This would also work for tupperware, casserole dishes etc.

A pint of bitter

Image via Wikipedia

Clean metals with beer.

Beer is an excellent metal polisher that will not stain the metal.

Moisten a soft cloth with beer and rub the cloth on your metal and copper pots and pans until they shine.  This works with Ale, Stout, Lager, Bitter etc.  So here in West Yorkshire, we might choose to use a good pint of Black Sheep or Tetley’s, and “darn sarf” they might use a nice London Porter.  OK, stereotypes over!

Whatever your tipple, the best thing is, you’ll only need a small amount of beer, so you’ll have to drink the rest!
